I've got the blues...

I got caught up on Days of Our Lives today. I'm a horrible DOOL junkie. It's so cheesy and stupid but I can't stop watching. In fact, I'm watching today's episode for the second time today. I'm sick.

Well, to top it all off, I listed this item on Etsy today:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8249386

It started out as one of the hub's drawings. He went for whimsy here. I put it on the computer and digitally colored it in and shaded it. Then I printed it out on fabric. It's soooo cute in person! I love it and I really wish I had a baby who could wear this!

I really think that right now, I need to concentrate on the creative side of life. So, that's what I'm going to do. Hubs is going to start drawing and selling his art on Etsy soon. He's really really good and does portraits a lot. I'm just so happy I could work on something with him. :D

Ok, I have to go. Hearts to you all!

XOXO

G-g-g-golly, Holly!

It started as such... I was promoting my little items on Etsy's forum when I happened upon a lady who had an avatar of a woman that looked like a little pixie with a child-like grin on her face. So cute!!! I assume that's Holly but even if it's not, I will forever think that it is. Anyway, I clicked on the link of what she was promoting. Dear God. The panda! The adorable panda! I called my Mom and sent her the link on messenger and we both agreed that my sister HAD to have those earrings! Mom bought them and the world was happy and right. Next thing I know, I'm browsing the rest of Holly's shop and then I see them... The happy sheep, the waddling penguins! All so cute! I decided though, that in honor of the owl that lived in the hole in a tree in my front yard, I had to have the owls. HAD TO HAVE THEM, I tell you! I showed the hubs. 'AWESOME', he said. I showed my kids, 'AWWWWWWWWWWWWW' is all I heard! A few short days later and there they were. They're adorable but when I wear them, they don't feel 'cute'. They feel elegant and lovely. I adore them and I just heart Holly and her shop and her little pixie-faced avatar! She's a class act!

The Hubs

My dear, sweet and super thoughtful hubby went to the store to get me some thread for a project I'm sewing. What a nice guy! When he got home, he unfurled a brand new pair of owl socks for me! These are not just any socks!!! These are socks with little toe dealies like GLOVES. What you must know about me to understand his thinking, is that I am the most hot-natured person I know. Yes.... It's 35 degrees right now and I'm wearing flip-flops. It rained the past 2 days and I went out in flip-flops! I do most everything in flip-flops. In fact, it's been so long since I wore real shoes that my super floppy (but not flippy) pair of tennis shoes gave me blisters!!! I've had them for FIVE YEARS! That's how much I don't wear the real thing... So, these socks are brilliant! I refuse to wear shoes because my feet get hot so these new toe thingies are just thick enough to keep me from getting frost bite! YES! I *love* not getting frost bite!!! So, yay, everyone! I can look forward to a frost bite free winter!!!!!!!!!! Want me to say 'frost bite' again??? What? No? Fine...

Now I need to find someone on Etsy who makes them so I won't have to give more money to stupid Wal Mart... :(

Something new!

I admit it... I have no babies in my house. My girls are 3 and 5 and they show no signs of shrinking back to babyhood. Who knew it didn't work that way? So, I've been making baby clothes. There's a lady across the street who has a new baby. I'm trying to fight the urge to take over everything I make to just gift her majorly. But, I must make a little money to help support my fabric habit. Cruel world! Anyway, I made a Christmas baby bunting/jumper/sleeper/thingy today. It's so soft!!! I thought about making PJ's for myself out of the same fleece but I won't. I live in jammies far too much as it is. I better not tempt fate by making an actual set that I really could be buried in... So, here's my new listing for the bunting!

I loved making this!!!

What I love...

Looky, looky!!!

I love tutus!!! Check this one out!

I love these things! They remind me of little Sugar Plum Fairies and spiced apple cider and little girls giggling with each other as they twirl around wearing these pretending to dance with the Nutcracker! These make me happy! Check out her shop and buy something wonderful!!!!

Paging Dr. Crazy!

Today I'm going to go out with my Mom to the place she had her eyes checked and glasses and all that... I will start by saying that my mother is a SAINT. She's an adorable woman with the best sense of humor I've ever met on a person. She laughs constantly. She's one of those people who just emits joy and happiness! Why this crazy eye doctor chose HER to unload his disgusting brain on is beyond me. He must be one of those who likes to crush happy people. He dropped the F-bomb several times during her exam and blamed all the problems of the world on 'those crazy conservative Christians'. Now, whatever your views on Christianity or politics may be, you have no right to drop your opinions on your customers just because you currently hold their money hostage and they're not likely to sock you in the jaw and run away... That was one thing... The next horrible-horridness is that the man screwed up her prescription so bad that she had to move her glasses AWAY from her face to read anything! Huh? Wha??? You mean, that's not how glasses work? WHO KNEW? My Mom may not have the best vision, but it ain't THAT hard to make the whole 'seeing' thing work out...

We're going today to get her money back. I say 'we' because I'll be tagging along. I probably won't do anything but keep my kids under control while she goes and talks to them, but I'm there for moral support and to be a witness that this guy is a lunatic. He's been fired, thank God, so she knows she won't have to see him again. Pray that they cough up the money.

In other news...

Oh how I love thee, Art Garfunkel cats!

This cat... Dear God, this cat! CRACKS ME UP!!! This is the face of 'burfle'. It's a word I made up for people/animals/whatever, that just has an adorably dumb face. Like they look like they're a little dingaling-ish but really really really cute. I love this guy! I must have this guy!

Once again, people, you amaze me!

Ummmmmmmm.....

I pretty much love this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7728005

I found that while browsing the forums on Etsy. It's pretty much what I'm obsessed with right now. I check a million times to see if I sold something.

BTW, whatever happened to the Dad from Frasier??? Did he die??? Why did that guy pop into my head????
